Where Women Gather and Empower Through Our Stories

I'm Schena-

I’m a wife to a wonderful man and mother of 3 living in Northern California.  But that sentence alone isn’t my identity.  Throughout my 53 years of life I’ve lived in 4 countries, experienced growing up with a single mother in India, been a single mother myself, had a successful career in technology, learned what it meant to be an independent woman, raised/raising three beautiful children realizing through my spectrum of my life’s experiences that my family is  my highest priority and discovering that as a woman I can have it all, but not all at the same time. And the one thing which has remained constant through it all is Chai. The warmth of chai  has helped me walk through  the highest of highs and lowest of low times.  Chai is more than just a warm beverage to me.  It symbolizes connection, friendship, warmth, hospitality and most of all healing.  I invite you to pull up a chair to this virtual table where we can gather to tell our stories and make a difference in each other’s lives one conversation at a time…. over a cup of Chai – a place where we can empower each other with our life stories and help  lift each other up.

Schena has a real gift for creating a safe space and dropping into her intuition to help support women from a place of strength and lack of judgement. From the warmth and vibrant flavors of her chai tea to her ability to share vulnerable parts of her own experience, she provides the ground for authentic personal growth. She has been instrumental in helping propel my own journey in self inquiry, parenting, and manifesting as an empowered woman in today’s world. I have no doubt her spirit will inspire many more in this time of collective rebirth.

Schena is a grounded leader. I was fortunate enough to be welcomed into one of her womens' groups. The meetings always began with deep mugs of Schena's homemade chai - warm and nourishing - they set the tone of care for whatever was to unfold. I was struck by Schenas' rare ability to hold the space for belly laughs and thoughtful silences and raw vulnerability. She welcomed it all with equal authenticity and grace. It was a safe, sacred space that invited real female support and sharing.

Being a flower farmer, I know flowers. They can bring joy, happiness, hope and support. Much like a flower, Schena brings every one of these qualities to her relationships. I have always admired Schena’s ability to create and manifest positive opportunities that speak to the creative spark inside each of us. Schena has taught me to trust my instincts and follow my heart. In my career, I often held myself back due to fear of the unknown, but Schena has been there for me as a cheerleader, a listener, and a fellow creative. I was blessed to receive a lovely gift from her a while back: a lovely labradorite necklace. One of its main qualities is to help you find your “hidden potential.” I wear it every day, and whenever I second guess myself, I place my hand on the necklace (like I’m a superhero with a superpower) and think of all the supportive and meaningful things Schena has said to me. And I know my “cheerleader” is there right next to me, believing in me, and my gifts and dreams. Together, we cheer each other on in our creative endeavors and are always supportive of how our ideas play out - not only for ourselves, but for our communities as well. Because ultimately, everything we do is to better the world we will leave our children.
